VENTURA Series Hydrogen furnaces are versatile, reliable, and user friendly systems. Available with temperature ratings of 1250, 1600, or 1750°C, the refractory metal hot zones are rugged, clean, non- particulate, and allow rapid heating and cooling of workloads from 50 pounds to 1500 pounds. The unique hot zone design produces exceptional temperature uniformity throughout the heated volume.

The VENTURA series utilizes the time-tested "bell" configuration in which the work is placed on a hearth and the heating element, radiation shields and chamber are lowered over the work. A microprocessor based temperature programmer and programmable logic controller (PLC) provide completely automatic, unattended control with precise, repeatable results.

Process programs can be quickly and accurately changed from one run to the next using optional memory cartridges. These capabilities allow a variety of products to be processed with confidence.

A wide range of options are available to tailor the furnace to individual requirements including: high vacuum systems, process gas dryers for low dewpoint processing, rapid cooldown blowers and mass flow controlled gas streams.

Atmospheres available include:

  • High vacuum (5 x 10-8 torr)
  • Hydrogen (dry or wet)
  • Inert gas (nitrogen, argon, helium)
  • Atmosphere or partial pressure

The VENTURA series furnaces are designed with the user in mind, emphasizing ease of operation and maintenance and long-term reliability.

Typical Process Applications:

  • General vacuum or hydrogen brazing
  • Dry hydrogen brazing of ceramic to metal seals
  • Active metal brazing of ceramic to metal seals in argon or vacuum
  • Wet hydrogen fixture greening
  • Wet hydrogen metallizing of alumina with molymanganese (1600°C)
  • Wet hydrogen metallizing of alumina with tungsten (1750°C)
  • Decarburizing Kovar
  • Ceramic sintering and fusion bonding (1750°C)
  • Metal Injection Molding (MIN)
  • Cofiring ceramic interconnect packages
  • Vacuum sealing high voltage interruptors
