ANACAPA Series Furnaces provide the ultimate in high vacuum and ultra-clean, dry atmospheres for processing metals, ceramics, and glass up to 1150 °C. The unique hot zone design also produces extraordinary temperature uniformity throughout the heated volume. Maximum temperature deviations of ±2 °C in either vacuum or hydrogen are routinely achieved in fully automatic production cycles. The result is consistent, reproducible product quality, and high yields.

The ANACAPA series furnaces utilize the time-tested "bell" configuration in which the work is placed on a hearth and the heating element, radiation shields and chamber are lowered over the work. The all nickel-chromium alloy hot zone is clean, non-particulate, and allows rapid heating and cooling. The field proven hot zone design resolves the problems associated with insulator metallization and shorting by eliminating the need for insulators.

A microprocessor-based temperature programmer and programmable logic controller (PLC) provide completely automatic, unattended control with precise, repeatable results. Process Programs can be quickly and accurately changed from one run to the next using optional memory cartridges. These capabilities allow a variety of products to be processed with confidence.

The ANACAPA series furnaces are designed with the user in mind, emphasizing ease of operation and maintenance and long-term reliability.

Typical Process Applications:

A wide variety of oxygen sensitive processes are performed with precision including:

  • Active metal brazing of ceramic to metal in argon
  • Glass processing in dry hydrogen and high vacuum
  • Ultra dry hydrogen brazing, e.g. s.s. at 800 °C without nickel plating
  • Aluminum brazing in high vacuum
  • Binder extraction from MIM or CIM components prior to sintering
  • Vacuum degassing vacuum tube components
  • Annealing Kovar and other metals
